Life is Full of Extremes

You never know where life will take you, good days, bad days, feeling small or feeling large.  Don’t worry, you’re not alone…

Shortest bull: The shortest bull in the world is Archie, a 16-month-old Dexter bull that is fully registered in the Northern Ireland livestock inventory in County Antrim. Archie measured 30 inches, or 76.2 centimeters, from the hoof to the withers on Nov. 22, 2011.

Tallest living dog :  In the name of Zeus! Zeus the Great Dane stands 44 inches, or 1.118 meters, high.

So, today,  are you feeling bullish and kind of shortish? Or are you living tall, no matter how tall is tall or short is short?

  1. Extremes make life worth living.

  2. No matter what, live your life to its fullest!

  3. Living as fully tall as I can… and I know you are too, my friend!

  4. I am most definitely the bull … both in stature and in style-sense. LOVE how his little halter matches the barn door! Super cute AND colour co-ordinated, much like myself. Teehee!!

(I’m kidding, of course. Archie is way cuter than I’ll ever be! :-) )

  5. I was about to go shopping for jeans….now I don’t know what to do? Bullish, shortish, living tall? Which would fit into Levi’s best? Sometimes I wish I did drink coffee! :)

  6. Holy Cow (or holy bull!) I’m, I’m, I’m, all of the above? I’m a short bull as in I’m short and I’m a bull…grace is NOT my middle name. Though I can be a dog at times, I am more of a Basset Hound than Great Dane. I suppose what this means is I don’t live tall…I live short and squatty, but that’s ok! I make a lot of noise and that makes up for it. I’m still half alseep so this comment makes no sense, but I love the pictures. lol, lord i need coffee. Morning Bon Bon

    • Morning RhonRhon! you are a brave woman to comment pre coffee, but yes, you make perfect sense to me, but then, I’ve not had my coffee yet either!
Holy Cow..love your response, all of it and me too…all of the above, tho tall can feel so small on some days…that’s what makes us human, yes? Got coffee yet? :) xo

      • LOL…three cups in and looking at my comment with a giant Oy Vey alarm going off in my head! (and I’m not even Jewish!) Have a wonderful small/tall day, makes no difference…we each are who and what we are meant to be, some days we are the giant and some we are the beanstock (oh no, maybe I need a 4th cup) but every day we “are”! xo

  7. Thanks for the daily smile! I’m short but I need a lot of personal space so perhaps I’m the bull? :)

  8. I’m a Great Dane in a chihuahua body (height not breadth) ..so I live large and take up minimal room…xoxo

  9. Okay – now I’ve got Bonnie and Maggie above me in the comments and this is going to confuse me again :D As you know – I’m easily confused!

Okay, Bonnie – I’m feeling rather stumpy today. I’m tall (about 173cms) but some days I feel like the bull. I think today is one of those days :)

Tomorrow is a whole new day!

    • Dianne…you crack me up! You can call me anything :) I hope your stumpy day goes smoothly as possible and perhaps yields a thought or idea or reflection you might not otherwise have if you were having a tall day. I’m tall too [tho I don't know cms.. :) ], and sometimes I realize I see things differently on days when I’m flying at a lower altitude. Tomorrow is a whole new day, and by the time you read this, you may already be there! I hope yesterday and today bring good things to you…short or tall! xo

      • I’m about 5’ 8” :)

You’re right – today has started much better than yesterday (my husband lost his wallet yesterday morning and we spent the day cancelling cards and calling police to see if some kind soul had handed it in etc. – what an utter hassle).

But I was woken by a dream last night with the idea for my next book (which I’m very excited about!)

        Feeling rather tall today :D

        • We are close in cms then…I am 5’10″ :) I am so glad that this day has been much kinder, and so exciting for you! What a cool thing to have a dream that leads to your next waking adventure in writing! I bet you are feeling rather tall, as you should be! :)

  10. Gonna try to live large (or tall) today! ;-)
